During the semester, there were many important presentations. Out of all of them, the one that was most touching to me, was the presentation by John Strelecky. Strelecky is the author of Life Safari and many other books. In the presentation, he talked to us about our "big 5 for life" and bascially going after what will make you happy and successful. I feel like this was effective towards me because at the time, I didn't really know what I wanted to accomplish in life and now I have a better idea and know that I want to make a different somewhere. Strelecky showed the audience a couple of videos and one was especially touching to me. It was a speech by Nick Vijuici.
This man has no arms or legs, yet he still manages to get back up without any help. The message of this was basically not to give up and this fit in with your big 5 for life. I am a huge softy and this video definitely got to me and showed me that you may think you have it bad, but theres other who have it worse and are still really happy. It really opens your eyes to what people go through. John Strelecky was very interesting to listen to and maintained the audiences interest by interacting with us. Another particular activity that I will always remember is when we had to find someone and we placed our "Big 5 for Life" in the palm of their hands. While they held a clenched fist, we had to try to open up and get our 5 things back. I really enjoyed this presentation more than I thought I would and it is something that I will probably remember forever because of the meaning behind it.

1981
It's the year 1941, and I'm getting ready to attend my first day as a college student. I wake up bright and early to get ready for school. As I get ready for the school day, I put on the newest music out, which included music from Michael Jackson. I look through my closet and find myself pulling out my "rad" outfit which included an off the shoulder sweater with leggings. Of course, I rock the side pony tail because that is just what is in right now. I get on the bus, and head off to school. There is no technology right now, so my teacher is teaching on a blackboard with chalk and I start to take notes by hand, while other people may have a typewriter. When school the school day is over, I head back home, do my daily chores and work on the homework that I received that day. Then repeat for the next 4 days.
